Blackburn-Sachs Associates was started in the early 1950’s by a newly married couple. Named for both families to symbolize a unification, the farm flourished under the attentiveness of the couple, providing the surrounding community with vegetables, berries and eggs. Mr. Sachs and his wife were disappointed to discover their children did not share the passion for the farm and wished to branch out. In 2013, the farm began flagging in production due to the failing health of the aging owners. After a couple of years struggling with the farm, their health, and pride, it was decided that the farm would be transferred into the hands of their grandchildren, a pair of twin brothers , who while not well-versed in farming and agriculture, made up for their inexperience with adoration and determination.
