Jill is an experienced broadcaster with a strong journalistic background. She began her career as a newspaper reporter before moving into television news as a reporter and presenter. With a passion for sport, she moved to the BBC in 1997as the first female presenter of Rugby Special before spending four years as a presenter with Sky Sports. Jill rejoined the BBC in 2003 where she has continued to demonstrate a natural talent in front of the camera and an ability to bring the excitement and drama of live major sports events into viewers’ homes.

BROADCASTING EXPERIENCE
Rugby is Jill’s first love and she has a proven track record as a presenter and reporter on major internationals and club matches. She has been a touchline reporter and presenter at the 6 Nations and Autumn Internationals since rejoining the BBC and worked on the 2003 World Cup, 2007 World Cup and Lions Tour to New Zealand with BBC Radio Five Live. She is also currentley presenting and reporting on the Magners League for Satanta.
Jill is also recognised as the BBC’s cycling presenter and has covered a variety of international events including seven World Track Championships, a number of World Road Cycling Championships, World Cup events and the Tour of Britain.
She was a key member of the BBC’s team at the Athens Olympics and Paralympics in 2004, the beijing Olympics in 2008 and also at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in 2006. Other Major evevts have included Wimbledon, the London Marathon and Burghley Horse Trials.
Away from sport, Jill was an accomplished news reporter and presenter, working in crime, poltics and human interest stories in newspaper and television. Always keen to maintain her links with the print industry, Jill has a strong relationship with the Sunday Times and was a columist with the Daily Telegraph. She has also contributed to a number of books including several published in the wake of England's Rugby World Cup success.

Radio:
Radio Scotland is where Jill first experienced the thrill of live radio broadcasting and she has presented a variety of programmes, not only involving sport but also travel, holidays and humour. In the last four years she has become a regular contributor to Five Live and presented their Lions coverage from New Zealand. Jill has also hosted their evening weekday sports show Five Live Sport.
Corporate Work:
Jill has excellent communication skills and is much in demand in the corporate world to host a variety of functions including awards dinners, question and answer sessions and business lunches. She has worked with a number of leading brands including Lloyds TSB, Guinness, Fast-Track, HSBC,UK sport, Sport Scotland and The Sunday Times. She has provided voice-overs for corporate video productions and promotions. Jill also has close links with a number of charities including Sparks and Wooden Spoon.
