Chris presents 'Show Me Show Me', a new series on CBeebies which he created and developed with Pui Fan Lee.

Chris Jarvis performs on CBeebies where he presents, acts, mimes, sings and brings stories to life with impressions and funny voices. ‘Step Inside’ is a dedicated story-telling show hosted by Chris. He also hosts ‘Discover & Do’ with Pui Fan Lee on the CBeebies Channel & BBC2 as well as the Bedtime Hour. You can hear him in CBeebies animations : ‘Bear & Butterfly’, ‘Underground Ernie’ and on CBeebies Radio. He also writes and produces music for CBeebies

Chris’s other TV credits over the past 14 years include hosting ‘Jungle Run’ and voicing the cartoon ‘Dream Street’ for ITV and ‘Maths Mansion’ for Channel 4. He’s mainly a BBC man and has starred in a variety of their shows including ‘Fully Booked’, ‘The Friday Zone’, ‘Short Change’, ‘Look Sharp’, ‘Playdays’ and the ‘Broom Cupboard’.

In character, he played the Anorak and starred in ‘Wood Lane’ for 187 episodes! Chris has also guest starred in ‘Chucklevision’ and ‘The Demon Headmaster’.

Around the country Chris hosts family concerts - mainly with the BBC Philharmonic and London Philharmonic Orchestra. With the orchestra, he takes the audience on a musical journey; introducing composers, musical styles and getting everyone to sing along with the orchestra.

CJ got his lucky break with his own show on Radio Orwell at 18 then at LBC Radio in London. Together with invaluable experience at Butlin’s and in cabaret, he was given a chance to entertain on TV.

Chris was involved in amateur dramatics and pantos from an early age but his greatest influence and inspiration was his grandmother who was a dancer in some of the great London Palladium pantomimes. In her footsteps, he has written, directed and appeared in over 15 professional pantomimes at such prestigious venues as Richmond, Bromley, Reading, Bournemouth, Tunbridge Wells and Basingstoke and Swansea.
